 Today in class we presented our poster things for our origin myths. Looking at some peoples assignments made me feel like I did well, until the more finished and prepared presentations showed up. I was really nervous because I haven't had to present anything in front of a class for years. I struggle to talk to people when I am not asked a direct question. When I got talking and Mr. Rease asked me a question I felt much more confident and I think I did well. 

 Today was pretty simple, we had to turn in the assignment about the creation myth. We had to also make a board-type thing with a summary of our myths. I think we are presenting tomorrow. Mine is not very good but I don't know how to use the website and I have so much more homework for different classes to do. its seeming like a stressful week of school.

 Today we read a creation myth. A creation myth is a story about how the world or humans were created/ came to be. They usually are of great cultural importance. We then were asked to create a creation myth of our own using a rubric. This story had to be a page and a half long, but I couldn't seem to get an entire story out of that little amount of pages. I then went on to write 4 pages instead of 2. I will try to shorten this over the weekend because it is due Monday.

Today was our first test in English. The test was short and relatively easy. Despite the ease of the test, my ADHD was making it hard to focus. This caused me to miss a question and get a 75%. I was very frustrated that I didn't read the full question when we went over the test. But considering how my mind was I am glad I got at least 3/4.

 Today in class we started by talking about Native Americans. This is because we will start learning about Native American literature. We then began talking about four descriptors that best describe us. One of which we had to create a short story about a time we felt proud of the descriptor. I chose being a brother because in a way being a big brother is what has kept me alive. Hopefully, my day continues to go smoothly.

      Today was basically just a summary of yesterday. We just reviewed the film "2+2=5" and discussed it. The discussion was pretty basic and I already had gathered most of it from my own interpretation. It was still interesting to hear everyone else's point of view. The rest of school went by relatively fast, I had two tests but I think both went well. I am glad it is already Friday, but I am concerned about how I will adjust to the class times changing next week.

 Today in class we watched two short films. We were asked to give a short summary and the two themes that we got from the videos. We will do three more tomorrow. It was a bit difficult trying to think of themes off the top of my head. But I found the second video entitled "2+2=5" to be interesting. It was about a boy who wouldn't accept 2+2 to equal 5. Even when "held at gunpoint" and when all his classmates were intimidated into saying it equals 5, he wouldn't stop standing up for what he believed to be true. I liked that video and I think it is very relevant to the world we currently live in. 

 Today was a pretty easy day in school. In English, we had to underline important parts of a story relating to the purpose. We worked on it as a class so I understood pretty easily. The rest of school was pretty straight forward and I did all my work very quickly. It is still only the second week of school so I am sure things will become more difficult with time. I hope I can stay ahead of everything and not fall behind.

 Hola mi amigos, my name is Joshua. I wouldn't necessarily say that I have anything interesting to say about myself. I am African American and Australian (white), the second youngest of 5 sons, I don't play sports but I have recently loved going to the gym. I am not a very talkative person, but I am kind. I did online school last year, but I am hoping to really focus on learning and improving on myself this year. I am enjoying how school is currently feeling, I hope it continues going well. I guess we will see based on these blogs throughout the year.
