Final Blog post

Today we took a test on the short story we have been reading. It was very easy if you just read the story. I got an 100 so I am hoping it brings up my grade a little. I am a bit worried about what I got on the EOC's but I am being hopeful. I am ready for school to end, I can't wait for summer. This is my last blog post, it has been an interesting year with many losses. This year has significantly shaped my life, and I am grateful for all the people in my life. Next year is Senior Year, and I am excited to graduate, but I am also very scared to actually begin my life in a way. Thank you Mr Rease, for the support and great year. You have a beautiful family and I hope you continue to live out your dreams.

A rose for Emily part 2

Today we read the second part of the short story. It spoke of a fowl smell that surrounded Emily's house and people were disturbed by it. Eventually they sprinkled lime around that allegedly removed the smell. We also learned that Emily didn't accept the fact that her father died for 3 days. This highlights the fact that she is depressed and not herself due to her father's death. We didn't have work to do due to the questions being from part 3. I stayed up late last night completing many assignments so hopefully my grade in other classes will come up.

A Rose For Emily part 1

Today we looked at half of a short story called, "A Rose For Emily". Currently it is describing a short fat girl who is wealthy due to her father. Her father recently passed away but had high status. Emily has a big house but doesn't take care of it or herself. She has a black servant named Tobe and we also learned that she isn't paying any taxes. This is due to her father lending the town some money. I don't know where the story is going next but I will explain the rest tomorrow. I am currently catching up on missing assignments in an attempt to bring my grades up.
