Fences Reading

 Today we had 5 readers "act" out part of the play for class. It was easy to pay attention, so class was alright. I think the play is good but I dont think I will enjoy having to preform it in some way. Troy from the story seems to be very strict and self centered. I doubt he admits when he is wrong but had a tough life to explain the reasoning for these traits.

 Today we worked on another assignment on Newsela. Today's passage was about how select fast-food industries are violating labor laws. I had no idea that this was a big problem let alone a problem at all. I learned something new and answering the questions was pretty easy. Someone I knew, died today. He and I didn't really get along, but I would never wish this upon anyone. It hasn't been an easy year, so many of my classmates are dying. I will never forget the impact each of them have had on my life.  Rest In Peace, Guillermo.

poem presentation- Monday Nov 6

 Today we presented our poems we wrote. Mine took me a little longer than the hour we were given in class, I had worked on it all day when it was assigned. I think it came out alright but I was so tired. I was messing up my speech because I couldn't think straight. I like writing poetry, so I love when we are assigned things to do with poetry.
