Friday 2/2

 Today in class we learned about the project that we were assigned for next week. This project doesn't seem hard, so the difficult part will probably be convincing myself to get it done. I was at school all week, which is a huge improvement. The rest of today was pretty easy going, mainly because it is a Friday.

Argumentative claims practice

     Today we didn't learn anything but we worked on writing claims and counterclaims for 10 topics. Putting yourself in someone else's point of view on a topic is not the easiest skill to learn. You have to be open-minded and be willing to research both sides even if it's not one you agree with. This is a good skill to have due to how many things in this world are debatable. However, some things are just facts such as we need water to survive and that the Earth is round. The only way to make a good argument is with research and knowledge.       School is still pretty depressing after all the loss we have had to experience this year but I am trying to stay optimistic. We all need to remember that we have our own futures and we need to take care of ourselves to ensure that we end up with a life where we are content.

"The Rockpile" Worksheet

 Today we had a sub. There isn't much I can say about today because we just filled out some questions about the text we read last week. Everyone was completely silent so nothing really happened. Today is Monday and break is coming up. I am very excited for thanksgiving break.
